COURSE DESCRIPTION

Adult First Aid, CPR and AED Course:

This class is intended for entry level workers. Through this video based training, students practice-while-watching under the direction of an instructor. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults.

Teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.

What is the target audience?

  • This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
  • This course is aimed at beginners, so no previous experience is necessary.
  • Course is designed to teach the layperson the basics of CPR and First Aid for use in work settings and for camp counselors, child care workers and non-healthcare professionals. The class focuses on one person CPR for adults, and basic first aid including burns, lacerations, sprains and allergic reactions.

Hands on training allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills and is far more engaging than an online course. We would love to have you enroll in the class!!!
